Khartoum, Feb. 08 (SUNA) - The Minister of Foreign Trade, Osman Omer Al-Sharif, announced that his ministry would adopt new regulations for reactivation of the border trade to protect the local products from smuggling and to secure the stability at the borders with the neighboring countries.
He said that during the meeting of the Council of Minister which he chaired Wednesday that his ministry is concerned with setting polices pertinent to the commodities for exportation and importation as well as the international and regional commercial agreements.
The minister underscored the importance of opening offices for the ministry in different states of Sudan to assume the tasks of the Sudanese exports through delivering of information to the exporters via the Sudanese Trade Point, the Information Center of the ministry and setting of effective measures for the consumer protection in coordination with the Consumer Protection Association.
