Government's delegation to negotiations with South Sudan back home

Khartoum, Jan.28(SUNA)-The delegation of the Government to the several-day negotiations which was held in Addis Ababa under auspices of Ethiopian Premier, Meles Zenawi.

The Head of the Delegation, Iddris Mohammed Abdul-Gadir said in press conference upon arrival at Khartoum Air Port Saturday the negotiations discussed issues of exportation of South Sudan oil through the Sudanese territories and proposals presented by the mediation in this connection, adding that the two sides did not reached a comprehensive agreement on the issue.
He added a framework agreement was reached and that Sudan has agreed to sign it but the side of Government of South Sudan refused to sign.
Iddris further added the President of the Republic as expression of good intention has directed Ministry of Oil to discharge ships loading with South Sudan petroleum at Bashayer harbor, reiterating that this will reflect to the International community and public opinion how Sudan and leadership deal with with responsibility with this issue and will show its keenness on cooperation with South Sudan.
He expected that the other side would sign the Framework Agreement on oil and that negotiation would continue to reach a comprehensive pact.
The Head of the Government delegation disclosed that the coming round of the negotiations will be held in the coming February.
